In The Beginning...back in1997, these two veteran, New York City based, musician/writers found themselves working together on a musical project where a strong friendship and mutal respect quickly formed. It wasn't long before they found themselves in their own home studio writing and recording their own music. The song they recorded was Irv's "Come Back Home Tonight". Pumped up by the experience, John showed up the next day with a set of lyrics and four hours later the song "I Should Have Told You" was born. Years later they're still writing and recording and shopping their wares. John Bennett and Irv Berner have spent years on the New York original and cover band circuit sharing bills with numerous recording and touring acts. Tried of playing covers or backing up other songwriters, both felt a need to create an outlet for their own music. They feel through years of band experiences and politics they have learned how to communicate with working partners and be more open to other ideas in the creative process. The outcome is two talented musicians morphing their ideas to create strong songs. John has spent years doing studio work as a session drummer along with being a touring musician. He has toured with bands opening for such acts as Rick Derringer, The Ramones, and Poco to name a few. Irv has also spent years working as a session guitarist and touring musician, most notably with the original band Gold Coast, a band Billy Joel was known to occasionally sit in with. They also spent time on the road with acts like Orleans, Ronnie Spector and New Riders of the Purple Sage. Irv has also worked with Recording Engineer Don Casale, producers Kasanetz and Katz as the guitar player for The Ohio Express and television star Jerry anthony. Filling out the roster for their recording team is Drew Hill on keyboards and vocals. His great sense of humor and severe talent make every session with him an anticipated event. Drew has an extensive recording background with artists ranging from Hall & Oates to legendary bassist Jack Bruce along with years on the club circuit with the renown Beatles cover band Liverpool and Long Island's Full House. Drew has also helped us co-write a couple of recent tunes, including "We Shine On". Helping out on drums and drum programming is Arty Ware. Along with being a great musician, Arty has a long history as a recording engineer and producer working with bands like Zebra and alongside famed engineer/producers Eddie Kramer and Jack Douglas. Arty's Production and engineering guidance are invaluable.
Drew's brother Keith is also an important contributor with his major keyboard skills. Keith currently works with the band Full House and Great Ceasars Ghost. Our Story.....
